Round one of the NSW Waratah Junior Southern League to be played in Canberra this weekend
Round one of the NSW Waratah Junior Southern League (WSJL) is to be played here in Canberra this weekend, 5 and 6 May. The games will be played at the Belconnen Basketball and Sports Centre, Woden Basketball Centre and the Tuggeranong Basketball Stadium.
Basketball ACT (BACT) has teams in the Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 age groups for both Boys and Girls. They will be up against teams from Albury, Batemans Bay, Goulburn, Illawarra, Moruya, Moss Vale, Queanbeyan, Shoalhaven and Wagga Wagga.
The deferred NSW Waratah Country Premier League (WCPL) games from the Under 18’s Women and Men’s round two will also be played here in Canberra this weekend at the Tuggeranong Basketball Stadium.

The BACT junior referees will also be in action this weekend with 25 officials at the tournament. Tournaments such as the WSJL are a valuable weekend in the up skilling and education of our local junior referees.
